KAMALPUR, Feb 1 (TIWN): Keeping in view the ensuing village committee election, the left front led by CPI-M filed the nomination for candidature for all the VCs under this block. The process was followed by a huge and colorful rally that roamed the entire Salema area.
Under the Salema Block remained ten VCs. Those VCs remained Apareshkar, Panboa, Nakful, Jamthum, Katalutma, Maharanipur, Mendi, Shimbukchak, Ashapurna Roaja para and South Kachuchara. In those VCs, in total 13, 983 voters would caste their franchise to elect 83 representatives.
Each of the Apareshkar, Panboa, Jamthum, Katalutma, Maharanipur, and Mendi got 5 wards with 9 members. On the other hand, each of the Nakful, Shimbukchak, Ashapurna Roaja para, South Kachuchara had 4 wards with 7 members.
Today, the leftist candidates filed their nomination papers to the Returning Officer cum BDO of Salema RD Block. The leftist leaders expressed their hopes that, the leftists would grab a land sliding victory in the coming election.
