AGARTALA, Dec 27 (TIWN): Tripura Government Employees Federation on Sunday organized 3rd Tri-Annual and 37th State Conference at Matangini Pritilata Hall.
Tripura Pradesh Congress Committee President Birajit Sinha on Sunday inaugurated the programme in the presence of the members of the Federation.
During the programme, presenting the statement of collection as well as the expenditure for repairing the office of the Tripura Government Employees Federation, the member mentioned that altogether Rs. 2, 04, 822 were collected from the Departmental Committee, Sub-Divisional Committee and Valuable Leaders.
Besides, an amount of Rs. 2, 000 from Shnti Ranjan Debnath has been taken loan, Rs. 4, 670 from Samar Roy, Rs. 6, 400 from Priti Bhajan Choudhuri and Rs. 6, 204 from Swapan Saha.
Mentioning about the expenditure, the members of the Federation said that a total of Rs. 2, 24, 096 were spent for materials like bricks, chips, sand, cement, paints, labour cost etc.
Besides, they also mentioned about the collection and expenditure from the 01-08-2009 to 25-12-2015.
It has been mentioned that from the year 2009, donation and fees for the State Conference was collected Rs. 1, 38, 425, monthly fees has been recorded Rs. 76, 050, Rs. 65, 430 were collected from various other sectors.
However, altogether Rs. 2, 79, 905 has been collected and a total of Rs. 2, 77, 005 has been spent.
The main aim of the conference is to look towards drawing the union’s pending demands.
It has been mentioned that the state government employees and pensioners are still deprived of financial benefit. Over two lakhs government employees of Tripura are agitated over the denial of dearness allowance (DA) on equality with their counterparts with the central pay.
Besides, they demanded to provide pension to the PSU retired employees from the year 1995. To take strict initiatives to curb the rising corruption in the State and to stop groupism in the administration, many other demands has been place in the convention.
