UDAIPUR, Nov 9 (TIWN): A Homeopathic doctor was arrested on Sunday from Udaipur Kakrabon- area under Gomati district for allegedly aborting the 7 months old foetus of a minor girl who was raped by a youth on the pretext of marriage. The girl was 7 months pregnant when her parents brought her to a Homeopathic doctor namely Ujjal Barauh. According to the law, when aborting the foetus of more than 12 weeks, the opinion of two doctors is mandatory, but Dr Baruah aborted the foetus alone allegedly carried out the abortion process, said Police official of Kakrabon police station. However, the girl is now undergoing treatment in hospital. Police claimed that she was raped her on the pretext of marriage and she became pregnant. The girl told the police that she was 15 years old.Reportedly, on Sunday morning the parents of the minor girl brought her to the homeopathic doctor for abortion. The girl is 15 year old and was 7 months pregnant.

Accordion to the law the when aborting a foetus of more than 12 weeks, the opinion of two doctors is mandatory, but Ujjal Baruah with the temptation of money he did the abortion of the 15 years old girl who was 7 months pregnant.

However, getting alarm police reached the spot and conducted raid in the clinic and arrested the doctor.

However, police is further investigating the case.
