Agartala, Sep 18 (TIWN): The state is heading towards a chaotic situation. The road connectivity with other states had almost collapsed. Due to stubborn attitude of the state government the problem is deteriorating further. Even afterhaving an alternative option, it is not utilized. They are waiting for return of normalcy of NH -44. It will take more 15 – 20 days to get renovated.

The supply of essential commodities in the state have been effected. Prices are sky rocketing every day, going out of the reach of common men. At present the state is reeling under fuel and PLG crisis. The law and order situation in the state may breakdown at moment of time due to breakdown of  NH 44. Earlier on several occasions scuffle broke out at Churaibari area.

Assam government took initiative for solving the problem, whereas the state government approach is uninspiring.

Report says people are   thinking of taking law in their own hand people residing along the border of Tripura and Assam.

If NH 44  collapses than major area of Assam remains unaffected, only a small area of Pattarkhandi and Karimganj is affected . But  it is the life line of Tripura. But there is an alternative high way, but not in a position for vehicular movement.

It is alleged that CPI (M) government is not using the road to catch fish in muddy water. If full hearted approach was made to open the alternative high way than the present situation have not raised.
