AGARTALA, September 12 (TIWN): Association of Service Engineers of Tripura (ASSET) on Saturday organized a Seminar cum Workshop on Disaster Management and Earthquake Measures in Different Building Construction on the occasion of the 1st Biennial General Conference at Sukanta Academy.

The programme was inaugurated by MP Jharna Das Baidya in the presence of Mayor Prafullajit Sinha, Principal Secretary of Agriculture Dr. G.S.G Ayyangar, Chief Engineer of Rural Department Er. R. Debbarma and others.

During the programme, it has been mentioned that as a part of the social responsibility they organizes programme every year. Last year they have organized training programme for Masons and Mistries in association with Khowai and South Tripura Distrist Administrative at Khowai and Santir Bazaar.

The Dhalai district committee has distributed medicine and malaria kits, mosquito nets to the malaria affected area of Langtrai Valley sub-division.

However, this year they have organized a seminar on Disaster Management and Earthquake Measures in Different Building Construction.

At the programme, on the occasion of the 1^st Biennial Conference a Souvenir has been unveiled. Besides, an amount of Rs. 25, 000 has been donated to the Chief Minister Relief Fund.
