
AGARTALA, September 5 (TIWN): Coming closer to strengthen the cooperative federalism between the centre and the state the CPI-M, Trinamool Congress and the all the non-BJP political parties has agreed to participate in the conclave being called by Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) on September 22 at Delhi.
However, the Tripura Chief Minister Manik Sarkar leaving no stone unturned had also agreed to address the conclave.
Sarkar is also scheduled to share a stage with West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banarjee. Besides, CPI-M General Secretary Sitaram Yechury would also attend the programme.
The Tripura government has been persuading for better relationship between the Centre and state even if there is political rivalry for the past many years. The CPI-M is unhappy with BJP-led government at the Centre for curtailing financial demands of the state.
The proposed conclave of the Chief Ministers on the Centre-State Relation and Federal Structure was discussed earlier at Delhi while Sarkar met with his counterpart Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal.
Sarkar is however positive about the proposed conclave and said that it would be a good idea. He also invited Kejriwal to visit Tripura. Earlier, Kejriwal had met West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee and CPI-M general Secretary Sitaram Yechury over the same.
