KAMALPUR, July 9 (TIWN): Bribery-raj dominated the kamalpur police station here at kamalpur as a DIB staff earnestly got busy in collecting bribes from illegal businessmen and contrabands and liquor sellers using the names of OC and other officials. And mysteriously, the OC got busy in safeguarding that collector. As a result, resentment started to brew among the locales.

According to the allegations of the commoners of this sub-division, a DIB staff posted at Kamalpur police station made himself busy in collecting bribes from different part of the police station’s jurisdiction.

The illegal liquor sellers, the contraband dealers, the road-side hotels where people often took a sip of liquor etc. remained his target. Using the names of OC and other officials, he used to collect the bribes at the beginning of every month. But in some cases, the businessmen got caught at police’s trap.

Several times the matter was knocked to the OC. But for some mysterious reasons, the OC remained busy in safeguarding that staff.

The resentment among the commoners brewed so-much that, the staff might have to suffer any dreadful consequence at any moment, according to the sources.
