KAMALPUR, July 8 (TIWN): The court of Additional District and Sessions Judge Arindam Paul sent the five persons detained from contrabands carrying vehicle to five days of police remand. The APP though strongly demanded for seven days’ remand, the Court ultimately sent them to five days’ police remand.
On last 5th June Kamalpur police seized TR-01-G-0295 Scorpio vehicle from near the Erarpar bridge with 1250 bottles of Corex, Choco and Phensidyl contrabands.
In this raid police also detained five persons namely Billal Hossain, Kayru Alam, the driver Abdul Haque, Selim Mia and Sagar Mia each belongs to Boxanagar.
Police registered a case numbered 45/2015 under NDPS Act with kamalpur Police station. On that very day, the police produced them before the court of SDJM and the Court sent them to two days jail custody. Then Tuesday police reproduced them before the ADJ Court and the persons were sent to five days’ police remand.
