AGARTALA, July 4 (TIWN): Theft cases are on a rise in the city. A gang of thieves again looted the belongings from 3 shops at orient Chowmuhani area of Friday late night.
Reportedly, on Friday late night, the thieves had entered the three shops of Orient Chowmuhani area by breaking the tin-ceiling of the shops and looted huge amount of belongings from the shop including hefty amount of cashes.
However, the primary investigation says that, taking the advantage of darkness the thieves entered the shop of Bimal Saha, Prasanta Dey and Babul Sil and altogether looted cash of 22,000, Tattoo painting machines and other belongings from the shop.
After opening of the shop on Saturday morning one shopkeeper noticed that the roof of the shop was broken and the belongings in the shop were all messed up. Immediately the shopkeepers informed the police of West police station. After getting the information police rushed to the spot and started investigation. A police official said that the bank robbery took place under envelop of darkness.
Taking advantage of the darkness, the robbers executed their plan and broke the tin-ceiling. The official further said that the shop heist was a well thought out plan as the robbers came equipped with all the paraphernalia required to carry out the robbery. However, the daily labourers who reside along the shops said that they are not aware of any such robbery incident and they have not seen any thief entering the shop.
However, police is further investigating the case.
