KAMALPUR, July 03 (TIWN): The negligence and indifference of the doctors ultimately led to the pre-mature delivery of twins. And that resulted into making the parents childless. In this sensational and heart-breaking incident the couple decided to knock the police and to file a complaint.

According to the couple namely Sushanta Bhowmik and Renu Debnath (Bhowmik), Renu became pregnant at February this year. From then on she was being treated by the sole Gynecologist and SDMO Dr. Narayan Pal. In the course of treatment on 17 June last, Renu underwent Sonography at BSM Hospital. Sonography test was conducted by Dr. Anjan Das.

 In sonography report both the baby and the mother were declared well. The number of the baby was declared as single. Then on 30 June last Renu got admitted in the hospital with serious abdominal pain at around 9-30 pm. Then Dr. Bidhan Das was on emergency duty. Without observing the patient for his happy-sleep he prescribed one after another pain killer injections and the nurses pushed those.

After whole night’s appealing and praying Narayan Pal at last arrived at Hospital to observe the patient in very critical condition. Then Renu was referred to IGM Hospital. Agartala where she gave birth to twins around 9-30 am. But due to premature delivery both the twins dies at 10-30 am and 3-30 pm respectively.

Now Sushanta and Renu alleged from the very beginning they became the victim to negligence. Otherwise how the Sonography report and the testing doctor could declare the twins as a single baby.

Moreover, how a doctor in emergency duty could happily be busy in sleep and prescribe pregnant patient painkillers without consulting with the gynecologist. They decided to knock the police and file a complaint against the doctors with kamalpur Police Station very early.
