AGARTALA, July 3 (TIWN): Tripura Pratibandi Punarvas Samiti has placed deputation to the Governor of Tripura, Tathagata Roy demanding different proposals for the betterment of persons with disabilities.
Alleging that the physically challenged persons are suffering a lot here in the state, the members of Pratibandi Punarvas Samiti said that this suffering is due to the non-availability of transport system from Khejur Bagaan Bus Stand to Secretariat Building Complex. On the other side at the ground floor of Malancha (Directorate of Social Welfare and social Education) is suitable for physically challenged.
They further appealed to change the policy which is taken to maintain the reservation policy on the basis of 400 point reservation policy. As a result there is no post for SC(Hearing Impaired) candidates and no posts fro ST (Visually Impairment) candidates in 400 roaster point. These two categories will not receive any posts forever. They are still now depriving due to the “Wrong Policy” maintaining by the state govt.
“We have placed our demands through representation and deputation for rectification to GA (P&T)and Social Welfare Department mentioning that the reservation must run among the three categories of Physically Challenged equally since it is a separate class”, Said Subir Datta, secretary of Pratibandi Punarvas Samiti.
