KAMALPUR, June 21 (TIWN): “Victory of Congress in the bye-election would not topple the present State government from the power. But it would surely be a message for them.
The Surma constituency has remained the undefeated den of CPIM. But the so-called demands of development not yet reached here. People here get only assurances, party racy, and tyranny.
This bye-election has brought a chance to the people to answer back all those to the CPIM.” said PCC President Birajit Sinha in a street corner in the Marachara market, this evening.
The street corner was organized in support of the Congress candidate Nagendra Biswas for the by-elction of 46 Surma Assembly constituency. In the president-ship of Jogendra Das, the leader of Opposition Sudip Roy Barman also spoke in the corner. He urged for change and told, “The popular story of Congrees-CPIM legacy created by BJP is a narrow mean to destabilize the thinking and determination of people.
In this state, Congress alone is the only anti-left power and it is proven. In this bye-election too the fight would be between Congress and CPIM.
Congress has recently staged demonstration in Jantar Mantar demanding CBI probe in the chit fund saga of the state. This bye-election is a chance for the people to make the State government rectify itself by winning the Congress candidate.
The state government is dipped into corruption and partycracy. The victory of Congress would surely be a lesson to them.”
At the beginning, District Congress President Manoj kanti Deb delivered the welcome speech and introduced the candidate Nagendra Biswas. Hundreds of party workers and supporters gathered in the street corner.
