KAMALPUR, APRIL 28 (TIWN): Marriage Registration certificate turned into a den of illegal money-gobbling by some unscrupulous employees. The employees of the section deduct an amount of 200 rupees against each certificate and issue a money receipt with no serial number or signature of the SDM. More seriously, in the entire office of the SDM, nowhere the amount of the fees got displayed.

But in different camps only 15 rupees got deducted against each certificate. And whenever the applicant has to collect the certificate, then the money receipt has to be handed over to the concerned section. People are of the view that, the section collects the money receipts to suppress the proofs of the embezzlement. Commoners are demanding stringent action from the part of the SDM to unearth the irregularities.
