KHOWAI, April 26 (TIWN): Nabbed after long 42 days, rape ­accused Manoj Debnath of Trishabari area in Teliamura was sent to 14 days’ jail custody by the Court of Additional District and Sessions Judge, here at Khowai on Saturday.

Police on Saturday produced Manoj Debnath son of Manindra Debnath resident of Trishabari area in Teliamura was produced before the Court of ADJ.

After hearing the case the Court sent him for 14 days’ jail custody. It is to mentioned here that, Manoj Debnath kidnapped one 17 years old girl from Trishabari area in Teliamura and raped her way back March 20. Accordingly, the parents of the girl filed a case (No. 44/15) under section 376(1) of IPC with Teliamura Police Station. Accordingly police netted Manoj on Friday.
