KAILASHAHAR, April 25 (TIWN): A women was killed in a road mishap at Jaganathpur Bagan on Thursday night under Kailashahar Police Station.
According to sources, a speeding bike bearing number TR02-A-5229 dashed a women namely Bidhyabadi Rabi Das (30) while she was on her way to home. As a result suffered injuries and was immediately rushed to Kailashahar hospital where in she breathed her last on Friday morning, the source confirmed.
After the incident police arrested the bike rider along with two others namely Bidhangshu Das, Dipanjan Dey and Himadri Das and recovered the speeding bike. A specific case has been registered in this regard and investigation is on, said cops.
According to official report, altogether 2581 road mishaps occurred in the last three financial years including 901 road accidents in the financial year 2012 12, 855 accidents in the year 2013 14 and 363 more road mishaps in the year 2014 till date.
