AGARTALA, April 9 (TIWN): The state government postponed the scheduled Sarva Siksha Abhijan (SSA) evaluation test. The test to held on 11 April from 11 am to 12 noon at 3346 centres.
To conduct the test 452 observers was by SSA, question papers were already sent to all BDOs. All kind of preparations from registration are complete, for the test wide publicity was done. Around 70,000 candidates will sit for the examination. For the test Rs 25 to 30 lakhs of rupees was spent . An order in this order was issued by director of SSA UK Chakma. Sources said the reason for postponing the evaluation test is on 11 April chief minister Manik Sarkar will attend a election rally at TTAADC headqauarter, Khumulwng. To mobilize more people in the rally the test was cancelled. However, DM and Collector of West Tripura said due to TTAADC poll the test was postponed new date for test will be announced later.
Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan (SSA) is Government of India's flagship programme for achievement of Universalization of Elementary Education (UEE) in a time bound manner, as mandated by 86th amendment to the Constitution of India making free and compulsory Education to the Children of 6-14 years age group, a Fundamental Right.
