Kumarghat, April 8 (TIWN): Scams become very prevalent issue in the era of Manik Sarkar all over Tripura. Another report of scam has been emerged from Kumarghat. It has been brought under notice that the officers of Horticulture Department are unable to adjust the tally of more than crores of money.

Deputy Director Hiralal Debnath and Asst. Director Dulal kar’s name have been involved in this issue. Two more persons have been suspected to have a connection with this scam.

The first issue which comes out as a scam is: ‘Grass Scandal’ of Kailashahar College ground.  Abhishek Chandra(Jilla Shashak 2012/13) started the work  to reconstruct the field of Kailashahar College ground. Generally that field was covered by normal grass on that time.

Then in the name of Siberian grass planting, 23 lakhs rupees from MGNREGA fund; and 6 lakhs from BADP fund; in total 29 lakhs was sanctioned in total. This work was though given under the name of Kolkata’s company Square Miter, hence in reality the project was given under two local young sub-contractors. But whether it was aimed to fit Siberian grass the process they followed a little bit, was totally unscientific. Moreover the carrying charge which had been shown was more than the figure of other costs.

According to the local people, hardly 10 to 11 lakhs has been invested in reality and the left money had gone within the pocket of the contractors or officers. Hiralal Debnath here seems as the main person behind the scam, who was directly handling the whole matter.

The second scam is of Rs.12 lakhs, which had been sanctioned in the name of Heritage Park. Presently there can be nothing found in the name of Heritage Park. As for the evidence 2/4 stairs can be found as the souvenir of that park.  If the government neutrally goes to find out the frauds Raghab Boyal can be found in this issue.
