BSF seizes fake Indian notes of Rs 70000

Agartala, February 14 (TIWN): Troops of 159Bn Border Security Force recovered fake Indian currencies of Rs 70000 from Bishnupur area along Indo-Bangla international boundary in the wee hours of Thursday.
While smuggling the fake Indian currencies over the barbed wire fencing, the troops engaged to guard the border in the said area spotted few persons last night.
After noticing the issue, the jawans of 159 Bn BSF seized the bags burdened with fake Indian notes on Thursday night and handed over them to the Kadamtala police station this morning.
Sensing trouble, the smugglers escaped from the place and left the bags adjacent to Indo-Bangla border at Bishnupur area.
However, the BSF troops conducted a search in the bags and seized a total of Rs. 70000 (140 fake notes of Rs. 500). But the troops failed to detain anybody in this connection.
