KHOWAI, Dec 28 (TIWN): Deplorable condition of Khowai Banabithi park displays Tourism department’s negligence to maintain the existing tourist spots.

Although the government is spending crores on celebrities to promote Tripura tourism, inside the state, due to lack of maintenance various tourist spots are getting destroyed.

One such example is Khowai’s Banabithi park, which shows no sign of basic maintenance.

Once the park drew a large number of visitors but now tourists almost do not visit. 

The boating area also remains in pathetic shape with no cleaning, maintenance of the site.
