AGARTALA, Dec 8 (TIWN): The CPI-M has been protesting against seed bills and electricity bills across the nation. As a part of the protest, the Sanjukta Kisjan Morcha staged a protest in Agartala on Monday.

According to the agitators participating in the protest the bills are driving the farmers’ future as enslaved by corporate organizations.

The senior communist leader expressed his concerns over the possibility of India’s future in agriculture – that might lose its independence.  

He also accused the duplicate and low quality seeds of expanding in the markets resulting in ultimate losses for the farmers.

The protesters burnt the bill's copies displaying disagreement against the proposed bill.
