AGARTALA, July 26 (TIWN): Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha while addressing a Cricket Association program on Saturday, said that with the experiences he learned that it’s a place where many people’s lustful intentions remain behind joining the Association, and then they try to take control over it because it has a lot of funding resources.

Dr Saha was President of Tripura Cricket Association for a long time, and based on his experiences, he said, some people want to misuse the association and attempt to take the charge for money, and in that context, “It is a constant battle.”

Noteworthy, Dr. Manik Saha faced a lot of challenges during his presidency at the Cricket Association and after he became CM, fights over power were witnessed between groups to take control of the association, which went to the court.

“Don’t forget, the cricket association is for the players. So it has to be remembered that facilitating them (players) is the main duty of the association,” he said.
