AGARTALA, Aug 6 (TIWN): Tripura Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha on Tuesday applauded the majority Muslim community people for safeguarding Hindu temples in Bangladesh after Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina resigned from her post and fled Bangladesh. CM was asked by journalists what he would say about attacks on Hindu temples and in reaction CM said, "It's unacceptable. At the same time, on social media, it is seen how majority community are saving minority's assets. It's a good sign." The statement came after photos went viral on social media where Muslim community's people were seen protecting the Hindu temples and properties. The Chief Minister said, he would not comment anything, until Govt of India announces anything officially, assuring that the borders are safe and Tripura police are alert 24X7.

Dr. Manik Saha also told media on Tuesday that the trade being affected with Bangladesh is just temporary, reminding sharply how Tripura supplies electricity to Bangladesh.
