AGARTALA, June 5 (TIWN): Both the winner and the opposition alliance political groups are to be in tight competition in the next five years scattering BJP’s plans about winning the election with absolute majority. Out of 543 seats, NDA got 292 seats whereas the opposition INDA won 234 seats keeping a minimum gap of 58 seats. This tight political competition has left the BJP to depend upon other political parties under NDA and could not win the two-third majority which would result in more power to the opposition in the parliament in the next five years. It would not be the same anymore to pass an amendment without the nod of the other parties.
This setback came after BJP’s claim of surpassing 400 seats under NDA revered by Congress led to INDIA’s remarkable performance.
Both NDA and INDIA are to sit in a meeting on Wednesday and exchange talks to discuss poll results and future strategies.
Narendra Modi has resigned from the Prime Minister’s post and submitted his resignation to President Droupadi Murmu, and expected to take oath as the Prime Minister once again on June 8th evening, according to Indian media.
The winning seats are thus shared between NDA and INDA are 292 and 234 whereas others are holding more 17 seats. The seat sharing can be further broken as : NDA (BJP-240, TDP-16, JDU-12, Others-24), and INDIA (INC-99, SP-97, TMC-29, Others-69).
