TIWN April 6, 2024

AGARTALA, April 6 (TIWN): CPI-M State Secretary Jitendra Chowdhury, who is now also the leader of the opposition said in Santir Bazar that even though Congress and CPI-M’s activities are different but democracy has to be saved, which has been looted by BJP under Narendra Modi and Amit Shah in last 10 years. Chowdhury said, if BJP continues to be in power, whether this country will function independently or it will surrender to before few businessmen like Adani and Ambani, is questionable.
“One after another institution of the democratic structure was attacked by the BJP Govt. We all know how the BJP came to power in 2014, but still, it’s important to recall, how from Govt job promises to make India corruption-free, farmers’ benefits all have been forgotten,” said Chowdhury.
Congress MLA Gopal Roy was also present in the rally, organized by I.N.D.I.A. ahead of the Lok Sabha election.
