AGARTALA, Feb 20 (TIWN): Tripura Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha has inaugurated the 35th National Road Safety month at Astabal ground.

The program is celebrated statewide but the main program was inaugurated in Agartala by CM.

Addressing the occasion the CM stated, “Our Prime Minister has also taken the road safety issue very seriously and that’s why he introduced new laws for road safety.”

“In our country 1 lakh 68 people died in road accidents in this country last year due to road accidents and over 4 lakhs people were injured,” said CM Manik Saha.

CM said, most of the accident victims are young people who are from 18 to 35 years old.
