The thieves entered the shops by breaking the back doors.

From Tapan Shil’s shop online payment machine and few cash amounts were taken away. On the other hand, a group of thieves stole items from Sanjit Saha’s shoe store on the same night. And both the shops were looted by breaking the back door.

The thieves tried to steal two other shops as well as Nirmal Das's tea shop and a clothes shop.

Disappointed local shopkeepers and public in the market said that if there were police patrols at night, there would have been fewer chances of such thefts.
