AGARTALA, Oct 5 (TIWN): It’s an open secret that India is far from food safety and when it’s about Tripura, West Bengal-like states, food safety is another concern because people here consume fish as their main dish every day at home.
After a review meeting at Secretariat, with the fishery dept officials, Minister Sudhansghu Das talked about the uses of formalin in fish which is a long term problem for the state.
The Minister also said, Govt is taking the initiative to stop the use of formalin in fish and tests will be conducted to check the uses of formalin.

Talking to media, Fishery Minister Sudhangshu Das said, that just like Pohela Boishakh, Jamai Shashthi, the Dashami festival of Durga puja also demands fish supplies. To make sure, everyone can celebrate that day, Govt is working.
