AGARTALA, March 25 (TIWN): Illegal Bangladeshi citizens were detained again, in Gopinathpur village under Irani PS in Kailashahar. On March 25, Saturday the police of Irani police station produced three Bangladeshi citizens to the Kailasahar court who entered Tripura illegally.
Jatindra Das, OC of Irani Police Station, said that three Bangladeshi nationals illegally crossed the India-Bangladesh international border at Gopinathpur village on Friday afternoon. Meanwhile, BSF on duty arrested the three Bangladeshi nationals. Later, they were taken to Latiapura BSF BOP, interrogated for a long time and took them to Irani PS at 1:50 AM and handed over three Bangladeshi citizens to Irani Police Station.
OC Jatindra Das also said that the names of Bangladeshi citizens who came illegally were identified as Abdul Goppar, Zeelan Mia, Saiful Islam and they are from Kakabala village in Moulvibazar District in Bangladesh. OC Jatindra Das also said that two Bangladeshi mobile phones and Bangladeshi Rs2580 (Taka) were recovered from the three persons.
Even though three Bangladeshi citizens entered Tripura with the help of a broker in Gopinathpur village, no one could arrest the real broker. Police will soon arrest the broker after the investigation, said OC Jatindra Das.
According to police sources, these three Bangladeshi citizens came to Tripura through brokers to join security guard work in a private company in Bangalore.
