AGARTALA, March 18 (TIWN): A former Madrasa teacher named Jabbar Ali arrested for sexual harassment. The incident took place in 2017 at Belonia Bonkar mosque premises, where Jabbar Ali took the responsibility of teaching madrasa to young students, but in the name of teaching, girl students were allegedly being molested by him.
Complaints about this matter came from the parents as well as the other teachers. At one point, the accused Jabbar Ali fled from the mosque after seeing the general complaint taking the shape of a protest. Later - a case number 108 was filed by the parents in 2017 in Belonia police station. Number 108/2017. Police started investigation under section 377 and 6 of POCSO;
After searching for a long time, finally the police managed to catch the accused Jabbar Ali from Choraibari area with the help of Nilam Bazar Police. Accused Jabbar Ali was brought to Belonia police station on Friday night and produced in court on Saturday morning.
