AGARTALA, March 16 (TIWN): 6-Agartala Congress winner BJP candidate Sudip Barman was absent from oath-taking program in Tripura Assembly.

The reason could not be known behind his absence.

Two other MLAs of Congress Birjit Sinha and Gopal Roy took oath as legislators.

Total 44 MLAs have taken oath today except Sudip Barman and Tipra Motha MLAs. Tipra Motha MLAs had sought a different date for oath taking.

BJP’s one candidate Pratima Bhowmik also did not participate as she had resigned as MLA and decided to continue as Central Minister and MP.
