AGARTALA, Feb 6 (TIWN): As election day approaches, the political ground is becoming more heated.
Unknown miscreants were accused of throwing down Congress and CPM party flags and the incident occurred in Korilong area.
It was reported that on Sunday, activists of both Congress and CPIM parties set up several flags in support of Ashok Kumar Vaidya, the Congress and CPIM aligned candidate in Koroilong Constituency of 28 Teliamura Assembly Constituency. On Monday morning, CPIM-Congress activists noticed their flags in the streets and drains.
Speaking about this, a leader of the alliance said that they are always being destroyed in the dark of night, repeatedly. After already destroying the campaign decorations in Krishnapur, Mohorchara, and Hawai Bari areas, this time campaign decorations were destroyed in the Koroilong area, the campaign decorations were destroyed in the dark of the night.
The opposition supporters demanded the police administration to take necessary measures in this regard.
