AGARTALA, Feb 6 (TIWN): Dead body of an unknown woman was recovered within 150 meters of the police station in the early hours of the morning.
The incident happened RKI School ground, located next to the police station in Kailasahar. Morning walkers first spotted the dead body and informed police.
The information was given to Kailasahar police station. On receiving the information, a large number of police and central forces led by Kailashar Sub-Divisional Police Officer Dhruv Nath, Unkoti District DSP Bima Sinha rushed to the spot. Forensic officers also came to the spot.
The dead body was located next to the building of the Provisional Cricket Association of Kailashahar, next to the RKI school ground, within 150 meters of the Kailashahar police station.
Despite the 24-hour BSF duty at that international border and under the nose of the police of Kailashahar police station how such an incident took place, it has wondered the locals.
The body was sent for post mortem.
