AGARTALA, Sep 26 (TIWN): Police brutality, heavy lathi-charge on agitating 10323 teachers have left terminated teachers heavily injured on Monday. The terminated teachers were in a peaceful march to the State Assembly where they wanted to stage protest voicing as their issue was not raised in the State Assembly. As soon as the rally came at Circuit house Police personnel were standing with sticks in their hands and imposed barricade. 10323 teachers attempted to break the barricade and then police started lathi-charge regardless men, women, threw water cannon, tear gas.
Many teachers were injured in the brutal attack done by police.
10323 teachers organized “Bidhansabha Cholo” protest which was announced two days back. As the 10323 teachers’ issue was not raised in the ongoing Assembly session, the teachers held the protest.
After police brutality, the 10323 teachers said nothing can stop the 10323 teachers from getting their rights.
