KHAYERPUR, Sep 7 (TIWN): Two CPI-M families were brutally attacked in Khayerpur on Wednesday after the party had organized a meeting in the area. Today, CPI-M delegations visited the victim’s houses and condemned the incident. While visiting victim CPI-M leaders, Radha Kishore Nagar party general secretary Dipak Debnath’s home, CPI-M leader Pabitra Kar said, “There was a meeting regarding various public issues including unavailable commodities in ration shops, the crisis of work in the whole state. BJP had planned to attack the meeting but seeing the defensive mode of our party workers, the BJP goons returned but later in the darkness of night, at around 10.30 around 20 to 30 bike gang goons attacked Dipak Bardhan’s house by breaking the fencing”.
“Gold, cash everything was taken away and what level of criminal they are it was proven when they entered the kitchen and damaged the food, vandalized the entire house”, said Pabitra Kar.
Pabitra Kar also informed that a senior CPI-M member Matilala Kar was also attacked by BJP goons in Sukanta Palli area.
Kar said, BJP is afraid to see public support for CPI-M and BJP knows it will be defeated in 2023 Election and out of fear BJP is continuing attacks on CPI-M workers.
