KUMARGHAT, July 17 (TIWN): Crisis has hit Tripura’s all Departments from Education to Power Department. After a whole day’s protest across Tripura on Saturday against Teachers’ Crisis, on Sunday public blocked the road in Kumarghat’s Saydabari area. On being asked by media, the angry villagers said for the last 3 days there was no electricity in the area. Yesterday whole day they helped the power department employees in fixing the problem. But after that, a local Bappa Das took away the cutout from there which caused again a powercut.
The agitators told the media that an old man died of a heart attack after he was suffocating and feeling uncomfortable due to extreme weather. Power cuts are taking people’s lives, alleged the agitators.
Due to the road blockade, heavy traffic jam was caused in the area.
