AGARTALA, July 4 (TIWN): Former CM Manik Sarkar visited to GB Hospital to meet with injured Veteran Journalist Tapas Das. After meeting with him Manik Sarkar condemned the incident strongly and said, “On 1st January we MLAs had met with Chief Secretary raising various demand, among all demands one was to stop frequent attack on Journalists, Medias, to take stern action immediately those who are attacking by not seeing Religion, Caste”.
Sarkar stated that if the Media loses the Freedom of Work then what will stay more?
“On one side Vote Loot, Robberies, Chappa Vote, Freedom of Speech is snatched and the media who are publishing by keeping fear aside they are being attacked”, added Sarkar.
Sarkar demanded that the miscreants should be arrested immediately.
However, the veteran Journalist Tapash Das injury on hand is deep, said Sarkar before the media after talking with the Doctor on-duty at GB Hospital.
