AGARTALA, July 1 (TIWN): Not only opposition CPI-M and Congress have labelled the new CM Manik Saha as “Chappa Vote CM”. It has been seen that CM Manik Saha is called by netizens in social media as “Chappa CM”. Biplab Deb’s power-hanger and occupancy of CM quarter have raised such doubts among public further. Public are confused, whether Tripura is parallelly run by two Chief Ministers? Out of 4 constituencies where by-poll was held, Manik Saha’s Bordowali constituency was highest rigged led the people to consider him as Fake Winners.
Former Chief Minister Manik Sarkar on Monday had mocked Manik Saha accusing him for winning via false voting and rigging.
Sarkar was visiting in BJP’s post poll violence affected areas in Agartala when a journalist asked him whether he would take the violence issue to CM ? Answering his questions, Manik Sarkar said, “To whom should we complain ? The new CM himself is a fake winner through false voting and rigging”.
On the by-poll result day on 26th June, Congress winner candidate from Agartala-6 constituency Sudip Roy Barman also hit Manik Saha as a fake winner and said if voting could be free and fair then Congress candidate Ashish Saha would definitely be the winner.
