AGARTALA, June 23 (TIWN): Amid massive unrests, Tripura by-polls in four constituencies have been completed on Thursday. Massive rigging was reported though BJP could not attempt booth capturing unlike the previous polls in state but many Fake voters were detected but so far nobody was arrested by Police. Voter turnout at 5.30 PM 76.82% at Agartala-6, 69.54% at Bordowali constituency, 80% at Surma and 8.41% at Jubaraj Nagar. Total voter turnout is 76.62 as a massive numbers of voters failed to cast votes due to rigging and EVM malfunctioning.
Tripura Congress has demanded re-polling in 12, 13 and 55 number booths.The demand was raised as massive fake vote casting was reported there and also a large numbers of Congress voters could not cast their votes. Polling rigging videos have been published in various media.
Journalist of Social Bangla TV channel Subham Debnath was brutally attacked by BJP goons, later taken to IGM hospital. The attacked journalist said, the miscreants who attacked him were carrying weapons with them.
Some senior citizens were attacked, many could not cast votes. Webcasting and Videography however prevented booth-capturing which happened in last Municipal and Lok Sabha poll.
