AGARTALA, June 2 (TIWN): ADC ruling party chairman Pradyot Manikya on Thursday after landing in Agartala Airport from London stated that his party may fight in the upcoming By-Poll. Manikya stated, “If 2023 poll is in the target then preparations should be taken up serious from 2022. Tipra Motha will have its meeting and check what are the possibilities to fight the poll with outcomes. We have come to know that the seats which are announced are not of ST seats, but still we have to give a try. But as per my personal choice, I think, we should fight”.
On being asked about what he experienced in London, Manikya said, “I have gone through all the things which connected Tripura and I tried my best to represent Tripura”.
Tripura by-polls will be conducted on June 23rd in four constituencies : 1) Surma, 2) Jubarajnagar, 3)Bordowali, 4) Agartala-6. On 26th June, by-poll results to be published.
