AGARTALA, May 29 (TIWN): A drawing competition on the environment was organized on Sunday at Students’ Health Home in Agartala as a part of awareness programs have been launched by Tripura “Bigyan Mancha” keeping the World Environment Day ahead which falls on June 5.
Talking to media, Bigyan Mancha Secretary Dr. Indrajit Pal, a retired State Govt Medical Officer said, “It is very important to aware the future generation about the importance of preserving the natural elements and help the eco-system to be functioning properly. The whole world is today aware of nature’s importance and Tripura can not be lagging behind. So, this is our a little attempt to aware of the next generation. This effort may inspire others and other social organizations also may come forward”.
World Environment Day is observed on 5th June every year and Govt of Tripura also organizes programs, and plantation drives to mark the day.
