AGARTALA, Feb 3 (TIWN): The West PS Police today detained a vehicle with a large quantity of liquor from Surya Chowmuhani area based on secret information while smuggling illegally.

Police recovered total 14 carton boxes from the vehicle and a man named Nripen Saha was detained in this case. However, the market value of the seized item is not yet known.

The illegal smuggling rate has increased in the state. Sometimes Police detain the small illegal traders but fail to arrest the main criminals who are running the illegal smuggling emperor.
