AGARTALA, Jan 13 (TIWN): Centering Swami Vivekananda’s Birth Anniversary on 12th Jan, College students organised Blood Donation Camp at Michael Madhusudan Datta College in Sabroom. BJP MLA Sudip Roy Barman and Ashish Saha were invited in the Blood donation Camp but the Camp was cancelled intentionally by BJP miscreants.
ABVP leader Abhijit Deb on Wednesday while returning home was beaten up by Partha Chakraborty (Manubazar Booth President) with an iron rod for inviting BJP MLA Sudip Roy Barman. Not only that Deb frequently receiving death threats over Phone, reportedly. The injured Student Abhijit Deb after the incident was brought to Agartala GB Hospital for treatment, and today after getting discharged he met with BJP MLA Sudip Roy Barman and Ashish Saha at Barman’s residence.
Centering the attack BJP MLA Sudip Roy Barman said, “They are cowards. It was not a political party programme. The student wanted to celebrate Swami Vivekananda’s birth anniversary by organising Blood Donation Camp, and attacks on students is just a shameful act”.
Barman warned miscreants and said that information about them is being collected from each constituency those who are behind such attacks.
"The main intention behind politics is to be with the people of state and to work for the people and so I will will stand beside people, said BJP MLA Sudip Roy Barman on being asked about giving justice to the injured student.
