AGARTALA, Dec 14 (TIWN): A huge success of Madhupur police led by OC Tapash Das. The Madhupur police along with TSR Jawans destroyed huge amount of weed plants. The destroyed plant's market value is more than lakhs, said police.
Reportedly, depending on a secret information Madhupur police led by OC Tapash Das raided over 47 nurseries in Madhupur Daspara, Noabari, Bhatibari, Radhanagar, Konaban, Kaiyadepa and Harihardola area. These areas falls under Kamalasagar constituency.
Police destroyed all the weed plants. Police informed that the market price of these destroyed plants will be more than lakhs. Atleast 1.50 lakhs weed plants were destroyed in this operation, said police. Police has taken a case and started investigating about the ownership of these nurseries. However, no arrest is reported till now.
Madhupur police informed that, such raids against drug and weeds under 'Neshamukt Tripura' will be continued.
