AGARTALA, Dec 6 (TIWN): Weather Dept’s prediction of possible moderate weather in Tripura on December 6 and December 7 has turned true as various parts of the state are witnessing light rain showers. It happened due to Cyclone Jawad which is now over Odisha. However, Bhubaneswar Meteorological Dept said, “The depression (remnant of Cyclonic Storm ‘JAWAD’) over northwest Bay of Bengal near north Odisha coast moved northeast wards and weakened into the well-marked low-pressure area over northwest Bay of Bengal and adjoining West Bengal and Bangladesh at 5.30 am”.
In the background of the rainy days, talking to media, Tripura Weather Expert D. Saha said that the cyclone will be moving from Bengal to the Northwest and will pass through the middle of South and North India and then it might move to Bengal, Northeast, and then Bangladesh but when it will hit Northeast, it will be weaker, but still moderate raining can be expected from December 5 to December 7.
