KUMARGHAT, Dec 5 (TIWN): Kumarghat police have seized a huge quantity of ganja on Sunday.

Based on secret information, Kumarghat SDPO Gamanjoy Reang along with Kumarghat PS SI Jayanta Das, Saikat De and police force, TSR raided a vehicle and seized the narcotic items from National Highway No-8.

The 10 wheeler vehicle bearing number NL 02 L 3411  was carrying 56  packets with 785  Kg dry ganja.

Two persons Bijoy Chowdhury (47) and driver Abhinash Kumar (18) have been arrested by police.

The ganja packets were being taken to Maharashtra.
