AGARTALA, Nov 22 (TIWN): Reacting over police’s arrest of Sayani Ghosh in Agartala, Trinamool General Secretary Abhishek Banerjee said, “When statewide Trinamool leaders, members are being attacked, Tripura police did not take any action against the miscreants”.
“If police could arrest Sayani Ghosh over her ‘Khela Hobe’ remark from her vehicle, why are police so incapable of taking action against the hooligans of the ruling BJP party?”, asked Abhishek Banerjee.
Banerjee added, “We have filed around 50 FIRs over BJP’s attack with evidence. Forget about arrests, have the police summoned a single accused from the BJP party. But I assure the people of Tripura that Trinamool will not give up. Trinamool will not bow heads before the Dictator Govt. Only Trianmool can fight against this undemocratic Govt and hooligans’ party”.
