AGARTALA, Nov 15 (TIWN): Tipra Motha chairman Pradyot Manikya met the Director of Tribal Welfare department over the pending stipends of ST students.

Recently students held protests with the same issue but then the department although started clearing the stipends but not the full stipend was given to the students and hefty amounts are pending. All these are affecting students’ education and they are unable to pay off fees.

Pradyot Manikya was assured by the Director that by a week all stipends will be cleared.
