AGARTALA, Nov 3 (TIWN): Tripura Medical College (TMC) staff nurses today sat in protest demanding regularization. The nurses reportedly have been working for 5 years 10 months and they all were recruited via proper interviews and exams. But today in a meeting when the nurses placed their demands for regularization, the authority refused to accept their plea. This generated heavy resentment among the nurses and they sat in protest. In 2015 nurses were recruited in December after exams and in the following years, 6 of them as per row were regularized, but 48 numbers of nurses are yet to be regularized, stated the nurses before the media.
The TMC authorities have allegedly shown a fund crisis issue. The nurses said if regularized, they are ready to wait for their pending salaries till the fund increases.
