AGARTALA, Aug 26 (TIWN): Tripura BJP Govt which had promised to regularize all contractual employees, yet to regularize the SSA teachers even after regularization order was given by Tripura High Court. Like Science teachers, Tripura Govt is bound to regularize the SSA teachers under the High Court's order but the Govt is daring enough to violate Court's deadline as it's still in slumber to take any final decision about the regularization process. On August 24, the contractual SSA teachers who were promised to be regularized in the next cabinet meeting, broke down in tears out of frustration after they came to know that they were not regularized, although the cabinet meeting was over.
Ratan Lal Nath had promised the teachers on Aug-20 to make them regularized after the next Cabinet meeting which was on August 24. The High Court had ordered to regularize the teachers within 6 months but 6 months have gone already amid no regularization announcement has come out.
On August 24, SSA teacher Bastab Debbarma said, "We were really excited about our regularization. We were 100% sure about regularization but we are shocked that nothing was declared for us. What did we not do for regularization ? We were on a hunger strike. We battled in Court and won but even after all these, no hope yet. But we will continue our fight. We will fight until death.....today we are really sad. I don't know what to say. We had faith in this Govt but no hope yet", Bastab Debbarma added.
