AGARTALA, December 19 (TIWN): The Tripura unit of the BJP is eagerly waiting for party national president Amit Shah's state visit on January 20.
Speaking to the reporters at BJP headquarter President of Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha (BJYM) Tripura Unit Kamal Dey today said that the Tripura unit of the BJP is eagerly waiting for party national president Amit Shah's state visit on January 20.
He further mentioned that Party President Amit Shah would visit the state to take stock of the current organizational strength of the party.
We will highlight the burning issues of Tripura including several multicrore scams, crimes against women and the current picture of the state during his visit, Kamal Dey mentioned.
Expressing hope, a vast number of workers and supporters from Pradesh Congress, CPIM and TMC are likely to join Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on his visit in January, he said.
Meanwhile, activists of the BJYM and other outfits have already fanned out in all the 8 districts to motivate people to join the party. The party had recently undertaken a membership enrolment drive online and through mobile phones, and it evoked encouraging response.
Meanwhile, party workers are also spreading awareness about its ideology and the goals set by its top brass to take it closer to people. Party leaders are visiting every districts to get the public’s feedback on BJP’s success and what it holds for the country’s future.
Incidentally, opinion is being built against certain national issues which are considered to be affecting law and order and damaging the social fabric. Due emphasis is laid on protecting the national culture and traditions, party sources said.
The aim of the party is to grow stronger in Tripura for the next elections having staged a tremendous comeback in 2014 elections at the national level.
